RingCentral: Configuring Clyde and the AI Assistant

3 min. readlast update: 08.12.2025

Bridge Communications has embedded the latest in AI technologies to elevate the operator to the next level.  This will allow you to choose the LLM model that best suits your organization.

At this time, all of the AI Features require Google Chrome as the browser and that we are running in WebRTC mode.
(Edge, Firefox, Safari etc will be added as their feature set expands to provide the required pieces.  Physical phone in Device Control mode will likely not be supported in the foreseeable future.)

Configuring the AI Assistant can either be done on the client for each operator, or for the organization using the the License Portal.

To configure from the BOC Operator Console Settings..

  1. Open Settings --> General Settings
  2. You may choose to automatically transcribe the call.
  3. You can choose the Preferred AI Assistant LLM model for processing.  Please note, when you select one, you will be prompted for your AI key that you would get when you sign up with the chosen model.  We do not provide this.  Also note, each model has a transaction fee associated with it. While it is a very nominal, it must be noted that there is a charge to use the advanced functions.
  4. Clyde is our automated assistant.  He can provide a wealth of tools to make the operator much more powerful, and even trains the operator to get better using the knowledge of an LLM.

  3. You can choose the Preferred AI Assistant LLM model for processing.
Current, we support Gemini, Open AI, or Grok.
Please note, when you select one, you will be prompted for your AI key that you would get when you sign up with the chosen model.  We do not provide this.  Also note, each model has a transaction fee associated with it. 4. Clyde is our automated assistant.  He can provide a wealth of tools to make the operator much more powerful, and even trains the operator to get better using the knowledge of an LLM.
Your options are Enabled (forced), Optional, or Disabled (forced)
  5. In this section you can "seed" Clyde with various sources of knowledge specific to your organization to make him smarter.  A common one would be a simple text entry... ACME Inc. business hours are from 8:00am EST to 5:00pm EST.
A common simple entry might be a PDF of your company's sales brochure.  Clyde can scrape this for answers.
Another common dadvanced entry would be a link to the company website.  This allows Clyde to use the information right from your website to answer questions.
A more advanced one would be to give a URL to a corporate knowledge base for the AI to crawl for responses to questions asked in a call.
